This is a waterfall on the greenbelt near my house. These days the creek and waterfall are usually dry. When it rains things come back to life quickly.

Virgin Islands – January 2013
A 10 day sailing trip in the USVI and BVI on a 47′ catamaran with friends. Six of us in all. This was the first time I have sailed this much or been on a boat this many days in a row. Might not be for everyone but I thought it was an awesome experience.
This was New Year’s Eve in Trellis Bay off Beef Island. The locals put on quite a show.
Including fireworks.
The next morning we saw this.
Then we headed over to the The Baths on the island of Virgin Gorda. This was the view on the way to The Baths. What a crazy road. (Click on photo to see larger size.)
Then…we called it a night. Painkillers (the drink) at sunset.

GM Wintergarden – December 2012
The beautiful riverfront entrance of the GM Renaissance Center in Detroit. This was at night, looking across the Detroit River towards Canada. Look at those red Canadian casino lights reflecting off the river water.
